FSF presents Sunshine State Games competition
2008 marks the 29th Annual Olympic-style Sports Festival


     
 
2008 Sunshine State Games in Polk County
is off and Running

The 2008 Summer Games began Friday morning, June 13 with Youth Track & Field competition at Winter Haven High School.  The opening race of the day, the girl's 3000 meter run, was highlighted by 12-year old twin sisters Emily (right in blue) and Aylwyn Hernandez (left in orange), of the Miami Milers Track Club, taking first and second place, respectively.

Over 5,000 of Florida's finest amateur athletes, between the ages of 4 and 88, will compete in 23 sports during the three days of competition in Polk County.
