Like to talk sports? Sure you do.
Everyone likes to talk sports.
The Florida Sports Foundation (FSF), the official
sports promotion and development org anization for the State of Florida,
now offers a speakers bureau for interested groups or meetings. The
Foundation employees available for speaking engagements are
knowledgeable on a variety of sports topics. They know the ins
and outs of the business in sports that makes Florida - Where the
World Comes to Play.
With an endless list of sporting ventures and experience, the
Florida Sports Foundation strives to globally promote Florida's
unique $32 billion sports industry. Listed below are a

Nick Gandy, Director of Communications

Nick Gandy has been the Director of Communications since 1998 and
previously held media relations positions with the Florida State
University
Sports Information Office, Florida Citrus Bowl and Arena Football
League Office. With the Foundation, he manages the web site,
edits publications and provides information and story ideas about
the Sunshine State Games and Florida Senior Games State
Championships to the media.
He serves as the staff liaison to the Florida Grapefruit League
Association and distributes the Foundation's annual complimentary
publications including the Florida Spring Training Guide, PLAY FLA
GOLF and Florida Fishing and Boating. He possesses a vast
knowledge of Florida Sports and Events and is willing to share a
variety of stories and experiences in more than 20 years of working
in the sports business.
Besides his work with the Foundation, Gandy is the
Vice-President/Education of the Tallahassee Northside Toastmasters
Club and has won awards in Public Speaking competitions. He is
actively involved with the
American Cancer Society Relay for Life, Elder Care Services Meals on
Wheels and Tallahassee Youth League Baseball. A 1987 graduate of
Florida State University, Gandy is married to the former Christy
Repine and has two sons, Grant and Gregory.

Stephen V. Rodriguez, Vice President

Stephen Rodriguez has been with the Florida Sports Foundation staff
since 1999 and oversees the operations of the Foundation's amateur
sports events,
namely the Florida Senior Games State Championships and
Florida's Sunshine State Games.
Throughout his life, Rodriguez has been involved with sports and
event management. He has worked and volunteered with events
dating back to the 1988 Sunshine State Games. In addition, he
has served as Vice President of USA Track & Field-Florida and
currently serves on the Board of Directors with the National
Senior Games Association.
He is a graduate of the University of Florida with a Bachelor of
Arts degree from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences with a
major in Political Science.
Before joining the Foundation, he was a member of the Palm Beach
County Sports Commission and Institute staff where he oversaw the
grassroots youth programs and events, reaching out to over 10,000 of
Palm Beach County's youth a year.
